MiOxide NT will produce high-purity iron oxide used for various industrial applications.
With an abundance of low-cost, high-grade iron oxide, it is an economic substitute for processes which utilise synthetic or high-cost sources.
MiOxide Iron is notably soft, grinding below 5µm with low-energy milling. At this size, the Fe₂O₃ demonstrates increased reactivity to acids.
MiOxide NT is currently evaluating its iron oxide in battery feed stocks, as well as hydrogen-based direct reduction.
Battery-grade for Iron based technologies, including Lithium Iron Phosphate
Ultra-fine feedstock for Iron electrolytes, water treatment and fertilizers
Suitable for catalysts, abrasives, magnets, pigments, and other industrial applications
Meets military-grade specifications Mil-A-21380B and Mil-A-22262B(SH)

Micaceous Iron Oxide
The iron ore deposits also host massive quantities of high-quality Micaceous Iron Oxide.
MIO is used in corrosion-resistant coatings, where its flake morphology forms an inert barrier to the atmosphere, preventing corrosion.
MIO for use in industrial coatings must meet ISO 10601 for Fe₂O₃ content, lamellar iron content as well as strict sizing cutoffs and particle size distribution.
The iron ore requires special grinding techniques to maximise delamination of the MIO, increasing lamellar particle content.
High purity MIO is available from select ores which can be micronized with minimal forces, leading to delamination. The result is ultra-fine MIO products with high Fe content and almost complete lamellar uniformity (approx. 90%+). These micronised MIO products are suited to friction applications.
